This program is for persons who want to comply with Islam and do the correct practices while they live their best lives. No prior knowledge of Islam is required – we start from the basics.

We cover the authentic principles, practices and and culture of Islam - as moderate, mainstream Sunni Muslims. You can be assured that you are adhering to the core tenets of true Islam without the spin, compromise or hardline interpretations.

  • Business owners, working professionals and students wanting to learn Islam in a convenient, accessible manner

By the end of this program you will learn

To be a good practicing Muslim, there are a few core beliefs, practices and skills that are required. Our aim is that you achieve the following in your course of study:

  • Learn to read the Quran with Tajweed, & Hifz - memorise parts to fulfill your daily obligations
  • Learn Tawheed / the Oneness of God - the core principles and concepts 
  • Learn about the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be on him) – his life and his significance
  • Learn of Islamic practices to correctly guide your conduct and that of your family - the required, recommended and disliked acts relating to everyday life in society
  • Explore various aspects of Muslim life - Islamic conduct relating to marriage and the family, interaction with different groups and institutions within the community, death and barzak, and more
  • Explore the History of Muslim Civilization and contributions to human development
  • Understand the various Muslim groups, their sources of reference and basis for differences in Muslim majority and minority contexts
  • Explore messages and meaning of the Holy Quran - various chapters - to take with you wherever you go
  • Learn Islamic guides to protect yourself and others physically, mentally & spiritually 
  • Leadership, public speaking and more...


How classes are structured

On this program you will attend 5 classes in a 3-hour period. Subjects vary each term, but are organised into 5 subject areas:

  • Islamic Beliefs & Practices: Intellectual, Physical & Spiritual
  • Seerah, Islamic History & Muslim Diversity
  • Reading the Quran: Reading Arabic & Tajweed (pronunciation)
  • Tafseer: Understanding Interpretation of the Quran
  • Fiqh: (Jurisprudence) Covering the fundamental pillars of Islam, and the adab (conduct) we Muslims are guided to inculcate in dealing with live events and various stakeholders.


Program Particulars

  • This program is covered over 2 years of part-time study.
  • The program intakes students every September. Post-Covid, spaces are limited, so please register early
  • Live online classes via zoom are scheduled every Saturday morning from 9 am – 12 noon.
  • All required texts and learning materials are provided free of charge.
